Wine Festival / July - August

Every year the Samos wine festival takes place in several villages of the Vathy district. The final festivities are held in Samos-town, a five days event on a site near the harbour with lots of things to eat, drink and listen to.

Samos Young Artists Festival / August

Each year in , talented international young artists are invited to perform in concert at the Samos Young Artists Festival in Greece.
The Festival contributes to international understanding by providing young musicians an opportunity for cultural exchange, through which something new in the language of music can emerge.

Ireon Music Festival / August

Ireon Music Festival is the biggest 3-day music festival of the Aegean and one of the most famous in Greece. It takes place  in the touristic village of Ireon (south-east Samos), a few hundred meters away from the great temple of Hera. Its music style combines Rock-Pop-Electro-Reggae and Ska elements..
Ireon music festival is also well-known because of its volunteering nature concerning its management and organization as well as for its low-price ticket.

Religious Celebrations

As in every Greek island, religious feasts celebrated in every village and town by organizing festivals.
The most interesting Samos Festival are:

  • The feast of Agia Paraskevi held on July 26
  • The feast in honour of the Assumption of Virgin Mary held on August 15 in Hora
  • The feast of Agia Marina in Vourliotes on July 17
  • The feast in honour of Virgin Mary held at the amazing Monastery of Panagia Vrondiani on September 8.
